I remember when times were that good. You know nice clean music like Glenn Miller used to play. I remember when growing up I didn't know what a queer was. (That was before they cleaned it up and called themselves "Gay".) I thought it was just something strange, you know just, well queer. Well, as I got older and was drafted into the US Army and into the world I found out what "queer" really meant. I didn't like what I saw on my trip to New York city on my way to Radar School at Ft. Monmouth NJ. Yes, I was naive!
I remember when anybody could get a job. I remember when I could buy a nice house for $18,000 in a nice neighborhood. You know before I had to worry about who my neighbors might be. I remember when anybody who really wanted to be educated could afford a college education. I remember when you could go to school with the GI bill and get an education. I remembered when I didn't have to worry about my kids teachers whether they were child molesters or not. Yes. I was naive!
I remember when there was good music like Glenn Miller. I remember when the movies were clean and they wouldn't even allow a cuss word like damn or show any thing sexual on the screen. I remember when I could buy a new car for $1600 and gas was 38 cents a gallon. I remember when we were patriotic and when there was very little national debt. I remember when a dollar could buy you a meal and a ticket at the movies. Well, I just remember when it was nice. Yes. I was naive.
I remember when I didn't have to lock my doors at night and when I didn't need to keep a gun handy to protect my family. I remember when I didn't worry about answering my door until I looked through my peep hole to see who might be out there. I remember when I was not worried about whether my little girl needed protection against the child molesters. I remember when we had good leaders and loved our country and were proud to be an American and had a good honest government and President. Yes. I was naive.
I remember, but I am no longer naive, just disappointed!
I remember when times were good and we were patriotic.
When I was a kid in St. Louis Missouri we had little mom and pop stores in each neighborhood that we called Confectioneries. Sometimes it was just a mom or pop store if a widow was running the store. For 5 cents I could get a Pepsi, for 5 cents I could get a candy bar and for 5 cents I could get a one slice baloney sandwich with some mustard as well. Then with rest of my 50 cent allowance I could go to the movies for additional 10 cents and that left me with 25 cents to gorge myself on popcorn and candy at the movies. These were the good old days when a dollar was a lot of money and people were patriotic and loved their country. Of course those days were during the depression and the country was just coming out of it. President Roosevelt got us out of the Great Depression by his quick courageous actions. People were willing to sacrifice and co-operate. (they had no other choice) Even so people loved their country and they knew that other parts of the world were in even worse shape. Now it seems that there are more people who don’t love their country, but will take all they can squeeze out of the government.
The show was usually 2 movies, a short and a cartoon, also the latest news, a news reel, like "Time Marches ON" All this for my 10 cents. In those days there was not one word of profanity or anything at all sexual in any movie. During the making of Gone With the Wind there was a great discussion about whether Clark Gable could say, "My dear I don't give a damn!" at the very end of the movie. Today they allow anything. The skies the limit there is nothing that is not OK. Your kids can learn all they need to know about sex, drugs and perversion. The Internet is even worse and here on the Internet your kids can learn and see even more about perversion in all its forms and they can be at great risk from sexual pedophiles that prey on children.
Now we have an election that is the most important election in our history. It is an election of good versus evil, the bad versus the good. The president, Obama is and has been a Gay person that has lived the life of perversion of using drugs and indulging in homosexual activities. He is not a Christian, but an avowed Islamic Muslim. He has never ever shown any respect for our National Anthem or our flag. He has reduced our military, sacked any general who disagreed with him, apologized to our enemies for them shooting our men in the back, given our enemies billions, increased our national debt by trillions, signed many unconstitutional “executive orders”, not acted in our best interest in dealing with our enemies and has weakened the country. Our country has fallen into the depths of misery in many ways. 23 millions are out of work. Our national security is at great risk. We borrow billions from China to give away to our enemies and nations who are not our friends. Our borders are not protected. Our country is at great risk. We need to get rid of Obama and his gang. We need to make this country strong again! We need new leadership. We need to elect Romney as our next president! Vote on November the 6th for Romney and Ryan. Save our country! Get Obama and Biden out of there!
